  • Light Refreshments at 5 pm
  • Talk by Professor Catherine Pickering: Why growing native plants benefits us and the environment, including in schools at 5.30 pm

About the book:

The South-East Queensland Bioregion is a biodiversity treasure, home to around 4,500 native plants. But which of these thrive best in local gardens including in schools?

Created with contributions from native plant and landscaping experts, the book features stunning images and practical details about 80 native plants ideal for school gardens in our region. This is a culmination of a Work Integrated Learning project by Brendon Kelly, under the guidance of Professor Catherine Pickering.

If you would like a pdf copy of the book, it is already available here, but there will be hard copies available for free at the event.
