Decoding the Universe - Exploring the unknown with nature's hidden language

National Science Week 2025

9 - 17 August

The Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) announced in August 2024 that the National Science Week Schools Theme for 2025 is ‘Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language’. This aligns with the 2025 United Nations International year of Quantum Science and Technology and the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) being hosted in Australia.

Applications for grants will open in March 2025 for schools and preschools to support National Science Week activities. More details can be found on the National Science Week website and locally under News, Events, Grants tab on the Inspiring Australia Queensland Website.
