What do IAQ Ambassadors do?

Our ambassadors are heavily involved in National Science Week – leading community-education programs, STEM events and activities across Queensland. They pioneer Science Education in regional and remote communities to increase interest in science and to promote evidenced-based information. They strive to build an awareness and appreciation of science, celebrate the excitement of science and scientific discovery, enhance the focus on capability and skills and improve science communication skills.

Using their own research, our Ambassadors support community science engagement, build community science networks and widen community engagement with sciences by providing greater opportutnities for groups that are underrepresented in STEM to create sustainable change.
